This video clip brings a recording of the presentation by Dirk De Ketelaere, entitled ‘A Practical Toolkit addressed to Mineral Exploration and Mining Companies’ which is an outcome of the Horizon2020 funded New EXploration Technologies (NEXT) project. Following his presentation in a NEXT Stakeholder Workshop addressed to high-level policy makers on 13 September 2021, this recording was made as an invited presentation at the EU funded Horizon2020 RE-SOURCING event on 9 November 2021.

The Toolkit brings a collection of write-ups in an easy-to-grasp language of the new insights gained and of the novel technologies for mineral prospectivity mapping that were developed in the NEXT project.  A further set of write-ups bring the outcomes of the research that was carried in the NEXT project on the Social License to Explore theme. By integrating these write-ups in a single publication, the toolkit has been structured to provide practical guidance and tips to the questions of ‘what’, ‘why’ ‘how’, ‘when’ and ‘where’ to communicate. A final write-up brings a new mapping tool which has been implemented on the CORDIS Portal, enabling this goldmine of information on EU funded research to become more easily accessible to both professionals, researchers and the public at large.

The NEXT Toolkit publication, edited by Dirk De Ketelaere and Anna Spiteri is available for download from the Media section of the NEXT project website: www.new-exploration.tech. Dirk is Director and Senior Researcher with Integrated Resources Management Company Ltd. (IRMCo), an environmental research company based in Malta, set up in 1994 and managed by Anna Spiteri.
